Nestled in the beautiful nature of Tyrolean Inn Valley, Schloss Matzen offers authentic castle accommodation in a relaxing countryside setting. It has direct access to the park and is set on a lovely hill near the Brixlegg village. It is only a short walk away from the wonderful Alpbachtal in Tyrol.
The historic castle is around a thousand years old. It has not been modernized and redesigned to retain its original and authentic character. It features ancient staircases and stone castle walls, making every guest feel like they’re in the medieval era, but with the comfort and conveniences of modern life. The rooms and suites are furnished with antiques and elegant decor and are equipped with modern amenities.
While the castle was left untouched, the historic tower was changed into a modern spa, complete with a steam bath, sauna, massage room, and a gym. The tower offers fantastic views of the Alps and the valley. The castle hotel is also a popular venue for fairytale weddings and other special celebrations.

While the castle has preserved its historic character, it is equipped with the comforts of modern life. The Spa is located on several levels within the Romanesque tower. Designed for pure relaxation and indulgence, the spa features a Finnish sauna, a relaxation room, a wellness lounge, and a Turkish steam bath. Castle-Cafe Die Arcade
Dine in style at the foot of the castle. Enjoy local cuisine and international specials inside the former estate building of the castle, under the arcades in the courtyard, or at the sun terrace with lovely views. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 12:00 midnight.
